Arizona Women's Retreat--September 12-14

The Arizona Disciples Women’s Ministry Retreat will be at Chapel Rock Retreat Center in Prescott. The theme of “Abundant Hospitality” will be keynoted

by the International Disciples Women Ministries President, Judy Row.

Early registration: May 1--July 1 ($130 Linens or $94 Bunks)

Final registration: August 10 ($135 Linens or $100 Bunks)

Scholarships are available from the Region and those applications deadline is August 1.

Agape Feast - potluck dinner after worship service, usually on 1st Sundays.

Dinner Groups - meet in people's homes for dinner and fellowship about once a month. Sign up for groups is happening today. Call the Church Office if you would like to participate in a group.

Small Groups for Open and Affirming Discernment - Small groups began on Sunday, March 30th at 9:15am and Thursday, April 3rd at 7pm in the Church Parlor. It's not too late to join one of these groups. This six week study will use the book, Listening to the Spirit: a Handbook for Discernment written by the Discernment Committee on the Participation of Gay and Lesbian Persons in the Life of the Church and composed of members of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). The book presents a process of discernment that helps us listen to the Holy Spirit for guidance as we consider the questions this issue raises. It helps Christians approach the issues thoughtfully, theologically, and prayerfully with no set answers or preconceived outcomes. This offering is the second step in a four part process outlined by the Board in January to explore the question of being an Open and Affirming congregation. Disciples Women - three small groups (Eve, Martha, and Selah) meet monthly for study and fellowship. See the calendar above for monthly meeting times.

Youth Groups - three small groups (CCF:3-5gr, Chi Rho:6-8gr, CYF:9-12gr) meet for Retreats twice a year and Summer Camp once a year. Chi Rho participates with other East Valley Disciples churches in once a month activities. CCF meets once a quarter for seasonal activities. More information and forms about Fall and Spring retreats and Summer Camp can be found at www.arizonadisciples.com. Registrations for Summer Camp are now available. Camp is Sunday, June 29 to Saturday, July 5 for all age groups and scholarships are available for church members. Camp Packets are available in the Church Office.
